We'll serve breads, long breads, butter, chicken meat, slurpers, nibbles, little bad cakes, twice murdered pig, steak for the horses, and of course, Chicago-style deep dish pizza.

SNL parodies the 2019 Downton Abbey theatrical release with a fake movie trailer. Lady Mary (Cecily Strong) learns the king and queen of England are coming to Downton in a year and a half. The Dowager Countess Violet (Kate McKinnon) frets they'll never pull it off. Housekeeper Mrs. Hughes (Aidy Bryant) plans an elaborate menu including 'twice murdered pig' and Chicago-style deep dish pizza. A staff member (Bowen Yang) rushes in to report they found mud — at the bottom of the lake. Voiceover reviews describe it as 'so soothing, I was on the back of my seat.' Just as the royals arrive, a second voiceover reveals: 'This has been an ad for The Joker. It's not perfect, but at least stuff happens.'

This was the debut episode for new cast members Bowen Yang and Chloe Fineman. The sketch is a pretaped digital short. The Downton Abbey movie was released theatrically on September 20, 2019, just one week before this SNL sketch aired.
