The premise

Here’s the bit.

Staged like a multi-camera sitcom revival, the sketch opens on the stoop of 227, where Mary Jenkins learns that she and landlady Rose owe 35 years of back taxes while Pearl heckles from her window. Sandra sashays in with a racy story about a crooked accountant, and Mary turns to her husband Lester for money, only for him to announce he is leaving her for Sandra and seal it with a kiss on the steps. Mary's scream cuts to a dark bedroom where the show's original stars wake up one after another, each relieved it was only a bad dream.
