Ask Ashley

Ask Ashley is a recurring advice sketch featuring Amanda Bynes as Ashley, an adorable young girl who sits at her desk in her bedroom reading letters from viewers asking for advice on various topics. The sketch is built on the comedic juxtaposition between Ashley's sweet, innocent appearance and her wildly inappropriate, violent, and snarky responses to the absurd questions she receives. Letter writers ask ridiculous questions (like not knowing how to turn over a peanut butter and jelly sandwich), and Ashley responds with increasingly frustrated rants and over-the-top angry outbursts. This was the first appearance of what became one of All That's most popular recurring sketches and helped establish Amanda Bynes as a breakout star of the show.
