The premise

Here’s the bit.

Title cards announce jury selection for three celebrity trials, and Dave is the prospective juror on the stand each time. Facing Michael Jackson's lawyers, he waves away every allegation and insists the man who made Thriller cannot be guilty. Asked about Robert Blake, he blames the actor's old TV character. In the R. Kelly case, a prosecutor reminds him he has watched the notorious tape many times; Dave dismisses it as digital trickery and then lists what it would really take to convince him, staged as an elaborate imagined scene complete with a police officer, his friends, Neal Brennan taking notes and Kelly's grandmother vouching for him. When she calls his demands excessive, he lectures her on the burden of proof, wrongful convictions and the Rodney King verdict, ends with a jab about O.J. Simpson, and is dismissed.

Say it with us

Highly quotable.

Michael Jackson has many faces. None of them look guilty to me.

No, man. He made Thriller.

You have got to prove to me, beyond a reasonable doubt, whether or not this man is a pisser.
