The premise
Here’s the bit.
While chatting with his wife on the telephone, a boss announces plans to dismiss Chris within earshot of the employee himself. He follows with cheerful praise and increasingly blatant visual hints, then acts wounded when Chris offers to leave. Chris is left to explain the outcome to the boss’s wife.
