Sitting on their brightly coloured studio sofa with the show's dog, presenters Alistair, Jason and their co-host take turns addressing the young audience about a story that has reached the papers. After Jason's engagement collapsed during the team's summer expedition, the others tried to lift his spirits with a visit to what they describe, in nursery-school language, as a special dancing club. Their gentle euphemisms grow steadily more strained as they explain how alcohol made Jason forget the club's strict no-touching rule until a bouncer intervened, how Alistair was led to a private back room by a dancer hoping he could boost her media career, and how a hidden photographer then demanded payment, prompting Alistair to bite the man on the nose. Having owned up and said sorry for letting their viewers down, the trio snap straight back into their sunny routine and move on to the next item on the show.
