Apology: The Coach and Horses
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
Back on their brightly coloured studio sofa, presenters Alistair, Jason and Tina open the show by apologising for a story that has reached the newspapers. Taking turns to address the young audience, they explain that a visit to a "special cafe" near the studio turned into a drinking contest, and the more they describe the evening the worse it gets: dancing, a sick colleague, a misused letterbox, lost underwear and a tabloid photographer who misread what he saw in a back street. Alistair admits that he ended the night by biting the photographer on the nose, the trio say sorry, and then they switch straight back to their sunny routine and the next item.

Say it with us
Highly quotable.
Well, we had a competition to drink all the drinks hanging on the wall from left to right.
The drinks made us act in a silly way.
I accidentally bit him on the nose. Quite hard.
A little extra
Notes from the archive.
Wikipedia's article on the series describes the presenters as a Blue Peter parody, loosely based on that programme's on-air explanation to its young viewers after the sacking of presenter Richard Bacon.
The rabbit hole continues
One more couldn’t hurt.
