The premise

Here’s the bit.

Tina and her boyfriend meet funeral home owners Greta and Elise to plan her late father's service. Every time the directors promise something as simple as a celebration of life, they slide back into a Jazz Age theme: burlesque dancers, character cards for a murder mystery game and a bartender in a white dinner jacket. The pitch lands badly because Tina's father was murdered and the case is unsolved, and bartender Jackson's cocktail pun and true-crime advice only make the meeting more uncomfortable. When Greta and Elise reappear as flappers and start dancing, Tina's boyfriend picks the moment to propose, and she walks out on him and the funeral plan.
