Pizza Order

Wendell Sanders, a lonely and socially awkward comic book fan, calls a pizza place to order multiple pizzas. As he places his order with Carlos, the pizza clerk, Wendell creates an elaborate fantasy story about having friends over and meeting a woman named Claire. Throughout the call, Wendell gets increasingly detailed in his lies, pretending to be hosting a party and having romantic prospects. In reality, he's ordering all the pizzas for himself while sitting alone. The sketch showcases Wendell's desperate need for social validation and his tendency to construct elaborate fictions to make himself appear more social and appealing.
