The premise

Here’s the bit.

Three gang members are beating a man in an alley when a passerby stops to comment. Instead of helping, he insists the victim must have earned the attack, needles the gang leader about his height and explains why he himself deserves similar treatment. His rambling becomes increasingly self-defeating, especially when he mentions the cash he has just been paid. The gang releases its first target and turns its attention to the bystander.

No such thing as a victim.

It's been two weeks since I've been beaten up.
