The premise

Here’s the bit.

At a school staging of A Midsummer Night's Dream, Competitive Dad heckles his own son Toby, who is playing the donkey-headed Bottom, and brags to his embarrassed wife about his own triumphant school performances. Unable to restrain himself, he climbs onto the stage to show the children how acting should be done, then takes over the scene with a bellowed burst of King Lear and a song from Cabaret.

Highly quotable.

Rubbish! Get off!

That's no excuse. He's rubbish.

Come on, Toby, this is no good. It's like a school play.

A little extra
