The premise

Here’s the bit.

In London in 1910, Mrs. Jekyll covers for her husband, a doctor whose experiments have a nasty side effect: every time he takes his 'little drink,' he turns into a slobbering, hairy beast she has to scold like a misbehaving pet. A former admirer, now a dentist back from Africa, arrives to reveal that the whole club knows her secret and begs her to run away with him. She chooses to stand by Henry, and when she can't beat him, she pours herself a glass of the brew too.

Say it with us

Highly quotable.

He's just a burp away from a breakthrough.

I don't know whether to see a marriage counselor or a veterinarian.

Well, I didn't get them to give up cannibalism, but they are brushing after every meal.

A little extra

Notes from the archive.

The official clip upload labels this sketch as season 1, episode 8, but IMDb, TheTVDB and the official full-episode upload place it in the October 16, 1967 episode with guests Phyllis Diller, Gwen Verdon and Bobbie Gentry (season 1, episode 6).

The rabbit hole continues

One more couldn’t hurt.
