The Devil's Dilemma
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
Aaron tumbles off a ladder in his living room and finds himself dead, face to face with a horned Devil in a sequined red suit who has come for his soul. Expecting heaven, Aaron learns that neither side actually wanted him: his eternity was settled by a coin toss, and the Devil lost. Aaron's life was neither good nor evil, just work, Netflix and microwaved chimichangas, and each attempt to prove his virtue, from paying his taxes to adopting a shelter dog, only earns fresh scorn and comparisons to the blandest foods and drinks imaginable. When Aaron asks for a second chance, the Devil happily sends him back to his body with a parting lesson that goodness is more than the absence of badness. Aaron revives vowing to fill his life with good works, until the microwave chimes and his chimichangas win out.

Say it with us
Highly quotable.
You're not bad; you're boring.
You're a fence-sitter, Aaron. You are room temperature Coca-Cola.
You are the plain yogurt of people.
