The premise

Here’s the bit.

In this fake commercial, Carson loves his female friends but finds their group trips, breakup crises and constant check-ins draining on his wallet and his emotions. The ad pitches Straight Male Friend, a buddy played by host Travis Kelce who asks for nothing beyond wings and video games, takes a seven-year absence in stride, buries his own grief in seconds and only occasionally blurts out an awkward question about gay sex. The only drama on offer is a challenge to a footrace, and the spot closes by noting where the product is not available.
