Backstage on the empty home-base stage, host Andy Roddick is intercepted by Richard Williams, the father and coach of Venus and Serena. Wearing a red leather jacket over a shirt printed with his daughters' faces and waving a sheaf of paperwork, Richard makes his pitch: Roddick should sign adoption papers and join the family as its next champion, under the new name Poseidon. Roddick tries to stay polite as the offer grows more insistent and more ridiculous, until a security man steps in and steers Richard off the stage, still talking.
