The premise

Here’s the bit.

A preview of a Portland Tribune article brands Portland America's most problematic city, but the Mayor has already trimmed the headline down to a proud "Most Pro City" slogan and ordered thousands of shirts and bumper stickers. Fred and Carrie warn that the story still needs a real response, so the three decide the only answer is a cuddly distraction and start phoning zoos in search of a newsworthy animal. Their increasingly specific requests go nowhere, and a promising tip about two rare tortoises collapses. At the Tribune, reporter Anna is celebrated for her exposé until a colleague arrives with bigger news: a new grocery store is coming to town, and its opening becomes the next morning's front page.
