Take a chill vitamin.

An elderly woman in a neck brace testifies that she slipped on a wet floor at a Saving Smart grocery store, and her attorney asks the court reporter to read her statement back. The reporter, Sumbrella, is offended that anyone would doubt she can read, then reads back a 'record' that insults the witness, invents a trip to a bootleg music shop for a 1990s R&B single, and accuses her of having a killer's eyes, just like the aunt Sumbrella suspects of making her uncle vanish. The judge sides with Sumbrella at every turn and keeps scolding the exasperated lawyer instead. Sumbrella then starts questioning the witness herself, breaks for lunch, and waves a pungent peanut butter and Limburger sandwich in the woman's face until she jerks away, proving the neck injury is fake. The judge has the bailiff throw the lawyer out, and Sumbrella takes the credit for cracking another case.

Sumbrella is Jeremy D. Howard's signature character from the 2016 MADtv revival; she returned three episodes later to work a crime scene.
