The premise

Here’s the bit.

As Kate gets ready for the prom, her mother fusses over her gown while her father lounges on the couch and her brother Eric waits to finally meet the mystery boyfriend. The front door bursts open in a cloud of smoke, KISS march in, and Kate announces that the whole band is her date. Eric is overjoyed, but Dad decides it is time to play the stern father and quizzes the band about their intentions, cancelling the date when their answers about how they plan to share his daughter go too far. Then Grandma Emma comes downstairs, greets the band as old friends and reveals a fling with them back in 1931, so KISS take her to the prom too, and when Kate's mother asks to make it a hat trick, they carry her off as well, leaving Dad alone in the living room.
