The person behind the punchline
A little backstory.
Ace Frehley was an American guitarist and singer who was the original lead guitarist of KISS, performing in the silver "Spaceman" makeup. His guitar work and smoking-guitar stage effects became part of the band's 1970s identity.
Frehley left KISS in 1982, led the band Frehley's Comet and released several solo albums, and rejoined the original lineup for its late-1990s reunion. He died in 2025.
