Vicky Pollard: Backstage

At a Blazin' Squad concert, Vicky Pollard elbows her way to the front of the crowd at the stage door, where a security guard is checking backstage passes. Asked for hers, she launches into a breathless, ever-changing account of why she has none, then insists she is on the guest list, claims a record label is about to make her a star, says she has already met the band and finally announces that she is their sister. A girl in the queue calls her a liar, the guard refuses to budge, and with her excuses exhausted Vicky tries one last, rather more direct tactic.

Blazin' Squad, the band whose stage door Vicky tries to get through, were a real English hip hop group who had several UK top ten hits in the early 2000s.
