The premise

Here’s the bit.

A long-haired, heavily bearded man wanders into a pawn shop and starts collecting an alarming shopping list: a bow and arrows, something explosive to tape to the arrows, zip-line hardware, the top half of a suit of armor and a pair of roller skates. Each request comes with a hypothetical question that gives his plan away, and each time the wary clerk raises a concern he swears he is simply getting his Christmas shopping out of the way. When he finally asks for a sack with a dollar sign on it, the clerk lays out the entire scheme back to him step by step. The customer huffily takes his business elsewhere, and his parting holiday greeting lands badly given the time of year.

Say it with us

Highly quotable.

Sir, whatever you're planning on doing, please don't do it.

I feel like I have to tell you that a suit of armor will not deflect bullets.
