The premise

Here’s the bit.

A reporter interviews LaShawn and Samuel as a crowd celebrates the legalization of gay marriage. LaShawn immediately imagines an extravagant wedding and an elaborate life together, while Samuel keeps finding reasons to slow down and discuss their plans. His attempts at a measured conversation are repeatedly overwhelmed by his partner’s excitement, turning a public celebration into an awkward discussion of commitment.
