The premise
Here’s the bit.
Bobby McFerrin comes offstage to find the club owner lavishing praise on his partner, Michael Winslow. Back in their dressing room, McFerrin’s resentment turns an exchange of vocal tricks into an elaborate confrontation. Musical accompaniment and imitated effects supply the action as the pair mime attacks, draw improvised weapons and escalate to a banana gun and frantic attempts at resuscitation.
