Viking Funeral
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
A sombre narrator walks viewers through the funeral of Ragnar the Brave, laid out on his longboat while his two sons react very differently: one cheerfully claims leadership on the spot, the other insists through gritted teeth that he is fine about being passed over. Weapons, a shield and a giant pie are loaded aboard for the afterlife, followed by the chief's favourite slave girl, who is flattered by the honour right up until she learns the boat is about to be set alight. Around the feasting table a long-haired Viking delivers a two-line farewell poem announcing that Vikings party rather than mourn, and the gathering duly erupts into a riotous brawl in Ragnar's memory, while the narrator calmly admires the moving scene.

Highly quotable.
I wanted to be the new leader, but it's fine, it's fine, it's fine.
Oh, great. I knew there'd be a catch.
Ragnar the Brave has lost his head. We Vikings aren't sad. We party instead!
A little extra
Notes from the archive.
