Red Wine Ladies at the Cottage

Styled as a trailer for a follow-up to the Red Wine Ladies, a booming narrator introduces four friends arriving at a cottage with a car stuffed full of wine cases. Over three days they toast themselves, sprawl in hats on the deck, rough it outdoors, hunt for a phone signal and wonder aloud about the neighbour's grown son, while afternoon naps and a missing friend punctuate the festivities. After heroic quantities of Bordeaux and cheese, the trailer builds to its horror-movie climax: the wine has run out. The weekend nearly collapses into packing up for home until one friend produces a stash of muscle relaxants and the party roars back to life, ending with midnight skinny dipping and a threat that the ladies may soon be your cottage neighbours.

Presented as the trailer for a sequel to the troupe's earlier Red Wine Ladies sketches; the same wine-loving friends had previously turned up at a wedding banquet in season 2.
