The person behind the punchline

A little backstory.

Adam Sandler is a comedian, actor and writer whose Saturday Night Live work combined broad characters with original comic songs. His time on the show helped establish a performance style that pairs exaggerated personalities with music, and he later returned as a host with a tribute to former castmate Chris Farley.

Sandler's film career includes Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, The Wedding Singer and Big Daddy, alongside dramatic roles in Punch-Drunk Love and Uncut Gems. His work spans studio comedies, stand-up and more restrained acting, while retaining the musical comedy that was prominent in his sketch career.
