The premise
Here’s the bit.
Steve escapes a tedious restaurant conversation by pretending a monster has dragged him beneath the table. In the restroom, he tells Frank how the story lets him avoid his wife and spend time at a second apartment. Frank attempts the same trick, but Connie knows what a table monster should sound like. As his escape plan unravels, Steve tries to hurry him away for a night of cocaine and television.
