The premise

Here’s the bit.

Sir Simon Milligan welcomes viewers to his gloomy late-night program, warning the faint of heart away before boasting of the demons that possess him, which turn out to be rather well mannered. He summons his pale manservant Hecubus to prove their wickedness, but the proofs amount to refusing a card trick, spoiling a movie Simon has not seen and admitting he is only pretending to be hypnotised. Simon closes with a fiery sermon urging viewers to embrace hellfire and to phone their mothers. In a closing tag, Satan himself lounges in front of his television, delighted to have finally found a show made for him, until The Golden Girls comes on.
