RAF Airmen in a Spot of Bother
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
Court-martialled for cowardice, desertion and disobedience, the two Second World War RAF pilots are marched in front of a firing squad, where they answer the death sentence in the street slang of modern teenagers. They insist they are innocent, ask to sit down, demand an inhaler and complain that being shot could harm them emotionally, while the stiff presiding officer presses on with the execution. Just before the order to fire, Biffy's mother strides in, berates the officer for always picking on her boy, and threatens him with outrageous accusations until the pilots are released into her care for a chip-shop supper.

Highly quotable.
Did you confiscate his inhaler? That's abuse. He could actually die.
I want a community sentence. Being shot might affect me emotionally.
A little extra
Notes from the archive.
Follows on from the pilots sketch in the previous episode (Series 2, Episode 1), in which one pilot refuses to fly again without compensation and predicts he will be court-martialled as a coward and shot by a firing squad.
The rabbit hole continues
One more couldn’t hurt.
