Determined to improve their home’s standing in the neighborhood scare rankings, a couple arrange for the husband to hide in plain sight as a porch scarecrow. When two mothers stop to chat, their oddly timed pauses make each ordinary anecdote sound like a terrible confession. His increasingly frantic reactions threaten his disguise, but the eventual scare earns the house the approval the couple wanted.
