Scary Ghost Stories That Don't Add Up

Night falls on a riverside camp and three cowboys decide to trade ghost stories. Each spooky setup, from a newcomer who keeps finding black cats in her shed to a widower hunting his wife's killer, collapses into arithmetic homework, and the third cowboy grows steadily more exasperated. He bans numbers, then math altogether, and finally tells a proper legend himself: a mountain man who took his hatchet and his hatred of cowboys to the grave. The glowing ghost duly appears, but even he can't threaten them without a physics problem.
