Ghostly Date

Zach visits the house where his girlfriend Sarah grew up and asks about a portrait of her sister Cornea; Sarah tearfully mentions an accident and gestures upward, leaving Zach sure that Cornea has died. Whenever he is left alone, a shushing, dancing Cornea appears, and his panicked efforts to get away look like plain rudeness to Sarah’s cheerful parents as they serve lemonade and toast to family. When Cornea demands a kiss and he finally screams her name, the family reveals that she is very much alive and simply has a room upstairs, then hauls their sulking daughter off to dinner at Chili’s. Waiting behind, Zach meets a sweet younger sister, Iris, who calmly explains that she can’t come along because she is the one who actually died.
