Reference Check

Matt borrows Adam’s phone and answers an important call despite explicit instructions to leave it alone. When the caller asks about a Harvard Law School application, Matt recruits Jason to invent a graduation party and impersonate the applicant’s references. A sister, a religious leader and an economics professor all acquire suspicious accents and improvised biographies. The two believe their glowing recommendations have saved the day until Adam returns and discovers that their endorsements have helped the wrong applicant take the final place.
