The premise

Here’s the bit.

Father John Duffy brings his religious television program into the Dithers home to introduce viewers to a Passover Seder. One son explains the ceremonial foods while Morris Dithers offers more practical answers and the women struggle to keep the children and dinner under control. The patriarch’s chanting gives way to arguments about serving the meal and a son’s ambitions beyond the family business. Father Duffy tries to steer the gathering back toward spiritual reflection as complaints about the food take over.
