Bill warns a flirtatious John Edwards away from his wife, Bill Richardson comes as Al Gore and volunteers for errands in a way that looks like vice-presidential lobbying, and Joe Biden and Chris Dodd turn up in identical SpongeBob costumes that sum up how little anyone notices them. Mike Gravel shows up in a straitjacket with suspicious candy, Dennis Kucinich is spotted necking with his much taller wife, and a guest in an Obama mask finally pulls it off to reveal the real Barack Obama, who says he came as himself and gets the last word with the show's opening line.

Maya Rudolph was originally cast as Barack Obama in this cold open, but her part was cut and the sketch was reworked after the dress rehearsal, which the real Obama attended before making his live cameo.
