Theresa May Readies for Halloween
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
Home from a draining Cabinet meeting, Theresa May finds Philip in a Dracula costume, and he mistakes her ashen look for a ghoulish Halloween disguise. She describes a Cabinet split two ways over leaving Europe, and Philip reveals a bet that pays out whatever happens to the economy. Theresa reappears dressed as a handmaid from The Handmaid's Tale and explains why the role feels apt, then the couple head out to the party with her worries about awkward colleagues, tariffs and a coming Donald Trump visit following her so closely that she mistakes a jack-o'-lantern for the President.

Say it with us
Highly quotable.
I have put £50 on complete economic meltdown by 2019, so we're quids in either way.
I'm Offred from The Handmaid's Tale, a woman who serves a purpose for a group of heartless men but could be cast out and executed at any moment.
