Festive Thanksgiving
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
At the first harvest feast, the Pilgrims are waiting on their Wampanoag guests when Master Jonathan sweeps in with an armful of corn and three shirtless companions. His breathless account of discovering the vegetable keeps veering into accidental innuendo that scandalizes the women, and he cannot resist insulting a bonnet or condemning the drab table arrangement, which he rebuilds himself from under the table. While he works, the others quietly speculate about why he has never courted anyone. Jonathan then steers grace toward praise for his centerpiece and proposes turning the meal into an annual gala with a suitably fabulous name, only for the weary settlers to suggest something plainer.

Say it with us
Highly quotable.
It's Jonathan, and don't rush me.
Okay, I think we should do this every year.
Why don't we just call it Thanksgiving?
