Two Subaru drivers meet at a Portland intersection and immediately begin waving each other through. Every attempt to accept the invitation is interrupted by another insistence that the other driver take priority. They settle into the impasse instead of solving it, filling the wait with phone calls, food and even a car wash. Tow trucks eventually arrive to remove both vehicles, but even this escape becomes another dispute over which car should leave first.
