The premise

Here’s the bit.

At a clothing store checkout, a clerk asks a customer whether anyone helped her, but the saleswoman she means has vanished from the floor. Determined not to mention race, the customer offers useless clues: dark hair, a green blazer that every employee wears, smooth skin, arms and legs, a resemblance to a doctor on Grey's Anatomy, and a guess about her favorite president. The exasperated clerk keeps pushing until she finally blurts out that the saleswoman was Black. That narrows it down to Angela, the clerk says, except Angela died two years ago, and a title card reveals this has been an episode of Race Ghost.

The funny people

Highly quotable.

She had arms and legs.

If she had a favorite president, it would probably be Lincoln.

But she died two years ago.

A little extra

Notes from the archive.

Dahéli Hall, who plays the vanished saleswoman, was a featured player for only five MADtv episodes, all in season 13.
