The premise

Here’s the bit.

At lunchtime in a Chinese restaurant, Liz has left her partner Clive at their table to tell another couple, yet again, about the day she was Mollie Sugden's bridesmaid. Clive keeps trying to call her back to her cooling meal, until the man at the table mentions that he went to school with Paul McCartney. Clive is instantly hooked and asks about the young McCartney and John Lennon, while Liz keeps talking over them to steer the conversation back to the wedding. When the man invites them to join his table, Liz hauls Clive back to their own seats, sniffs that she never goes on about her own brush with fame, and then shouts her verdict on the McCartney story across the restaurant.
