The premise

Here’s the bit.

Before their cousin Delroy marries another man, the Johnson family brings in Gary for a briefing on what to expect. He explains that the ceremony works like any other wedding, but the relatives keep inventing separate seating sections, compulsory songs, unusual gifts and other rituals. Their attempts to sound supportive become more intrusive with each question. Gary finally gives up and leaves, while the family congratulates itself on having understood the lesson.
