The premise

Here’s the bit.

Before a screaming crowd, a 1990s R&B duo in matching oversized suits launches into a tender ballad about a love that has been right in front of the singer all along. As the song builds, it becomes clear the high-top-fade lead is serenading his bald partner, who stiffens and sidles away while the adoring audience falls into stunned silence. Realizing what he has admitted, the singer scrambles to salvage the moment with an increasingly frantic run of lines insisting that he is a man who likes women and always has, leaving the two performers standing at opposite ends of the stage.
