My Left Foot of Fury
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
Framed as a trailer for an action sequel to the Oscar-winning drama My Left Foot, this In Living Color parody opens with Jim Carrey's Christy Brown painting on his bed before a narrator announces that he is now Ireland's kickboxing champion. At the local pub Christy declines another drink because he is driving his wheelbarrow, then steps in when a local tough harasses a woman. Backed by his Belgian brother, Jean-Claude Van Damme, who wheels him around and passes him improvised weapons, Christy takes on the bar's regulars using only his left foot, flailing and grimacing as the brawl spills across the room, before signing off with satisfaction at a good scrap.
