The premise

Here’s the bit.

Darius James takes his girlfriend to a nightclub, expecting a romantic end to their date. When another man greets her, Darius treats it as a challenge and chooses confrontation over walking away. His rival Chris turns out to be a martial-arts expert, and even Darius’s girlfriend joins the beating. Medical bills force Darius to move in with his grandmother, where the humiliation continues. A solemn documentary narrator traces the gap between Darius’s tough talk and the consequences.
