The premise
Here’s the bit.
Kevin counts down to midnight in the family kitchen, delighted by his birthday and the promise of a new game. As soon as he turns thirteen, his body twists, his manners disappear and every parental request becomes a grievance. His parents try birthday wishes, presents and sensible explanations, but their suddenly sulky son objects to everything before reluctantly heading to bed.
