The premise

Here’s the bit.

On a bare studio stage, the two self-proclaimed coolest teenagers around wait on hold for the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire contestant line, a call one of them has apparently kept going for a week and a half. While they wait they argue about the show's format, compare its lifelines to school exams and spend the prize in their heads, from a fat car and a designer suit to simply paying off a phone bill. Lofty talk about living off the interest and whether money buys happiness collapses into their usual slang-filled bickering, and when the operator finally answers, the pair discover an age limit they will not reach for another two years, a gap they cannot quite calculate.

Say it with us

Highly quotable.

And how long do you have to wait, man? One and a half weeks so far.

I realised that you can't buy women like items from a shop. You've got to buy the items from a shop for the women.

A little extra
