The premise

Here’s the bit.

Styled like a disaster-preparedness bulletin, a grave spokesperson treats brand tie-ins for Juneteenth as a national emergency. She walks viewers through four survival steps for the holiday, touring empty stores, offices, car lots and a backyard cookout while a parade of absurd retail and restaurant promotions pops up around her. Each tone-deaf slogan turns American slavery and emancipation into a sales pitch, and she urges the audience to resist the discounts, keep celebrating with their own families, and report offending companies to the internet.
