J.J. Pepper's Videography
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
J.J. Pepper, a for-hire event videographer, stars in his own homemade commercial. He lists the occasions he will tape, from weddings and funerals to holidays he seems to have invented, hints that he may be filming the viewer at that very moment, and promises to arrive in his own tuxedo. As he begs for a chance, the ad piles on clumsy showcase effects: star wipes, kangaroo page turns, a racing car, a black-and-white filter and a crowd of duplicated J.J.s who start competing with him for the job.
