The Pillgrums
The setup
The premise
Here’s the bit.
In a stiff press-junket interview, filmmaker Glen Tennis welcomes his friend Grum, a glitchy computer-animated figure in a green suit and bow tie who stars in Tennis's new film about the Pilgrims. Grum's halting, robotic answers leave long, uncomfortable pauses, so Tennis cuts to a clip: a sailing ship reaches Plymouth Rock, Grum in a pilgrim hat mistakes the people gathered on shore for clowns, and his human-looking companion explains the Thanksgiving feast with a growing menu over cheap renderings of turkey, rolls, pies and casserole. Grum fixates on the maize before the clip drifts into a hedge maze, where he spots his lost friend Chippy.

Highly quotable.
I love the pilgrims.
Well, they're eating Thanksgiving dinner. You know, turkey, gravy, crescent rolls, ambrosia, pies, green bean casserole, and maize.
There's my Chippy.

Notes from the archive.
Wikipedia's episode list spells the film "The Pilgrums"; the poster and Adult Swim's clip title read "The Pillgrums." Grum debuted singing "Crackers and Snacks" in Season 1, and a later segment of this episode has Glen Tennis show Grum the Cinco Video Cube.
