The premise

Here’s the bit.

The segment opens on an excerpt from Crystal Shyps, a homemade science-fiction film with a chrome title card and a toy-like spaceship. After a meteor lands in a dusty clearing, a team in blue jumpsuits arrives to find a creature in a gold suit and tinfoil antenna helmet, played by Glen himself, staggering out of a crashed canister; the crew debate what kind of monster it is before one of them blasts it with a ray gun and its face melts away. The show then cuts to Channel 5's Lookin' at Film, where host Danny Mothers welcomes the beaming Glen Tennis to his small studio set. Reading stiffly from a press sheet, Danny hands it across to check whether this is Glen's first or second film, wanders into a muddled thought about French cinema, munches popcorn and keeps announcing how much he loves film before shaking Glen's hand and introducing a clip.
